Evaluation Consultancy

External evaluations carried out by ceni are designed to:

  • provide an objective assessment of organisational achievements
  • provide evidence of practice and learning
  • provide accountability to funders and other stakeholders
  • contribute to organisational planning and development

A distinctive approach - ceni's approach to evaluation emphasises the importance of evaluation as a tool not only for accountability but also for developing and improving voluntary/community organisations and projects. In carrying out consultancy work, ceni aims to ensure that evaluation, as practised, is appropriate to the needs and circumstances of the sector and its stakeholders. Who we work with - ceni has carried out more than 120 external evaluations commissioned both by funding and voluntary agencies. Commissions range from evaluation of smaller community-based projects to larger-scale voluntary organisations and funding programmes. Skills and expertise - With over 10 years in the field ceni has in-depth knowledge and experience of evaluation within the voluntary/community sector. Evaluations are conducted by highly qualified personnel, utilising in-house evaluators and also drawing from a register of Associate Consultants.
