Apply to register as an Associate Consultant

ceni currently maintains a Register of Associate Consultants who are sub-contracted to undertake work on our behalf. Associates are usually self-employed people whom ceni can draw upon individually or collectively as required. ceni effectively acts as an agency, recruiting, managing and supporting this pool.

ceni invites individuals who have the necessary experience and skills (see skills & expertise), are interested in contributing to the development and dissemination of evaluation practice, and feel that they could benefit from working with the organisation, to apply to join our Register of Associates Consultants.

Associate Consultants benefit from working through ceni in a number of ways:

  • Access to evaluation consultancy work through ceni’s own promotional and marketing activities.
  • The opportunity to work within a reputable framework and to agreed quality assurance standards for the conduct of evaluation.
  • Support throughout the evaluation process, including guidance and feedback on the development of proposals, planning, methodologies and reports.
  • Advice on any issues, which emerge during the evaluation process.
  • Mediation and negotiation of any difficulties or changes, which arise during the evaluation process.
  • Management and administration of evaluation contracts, including liaison and negotiation with clients, and financial management.
  • Access to ceni resources and facilities, including administrative support and our library of resource materials on evaluation.
  • Opportunities for networking and professional development, through training, practice development seminars and peer support.
  • Opportunities for contributing to the further development of evaluation practice within the voluntary sector.

Application procedure - individuals are required to complete an Application Form and to attend an interview. Successful applicants to the Register are provided with initial training and induction to ensure that they understand ceni’s values and approach to evaluation and are familiar with our quality assurance standards and procedures.
